Jack Dempsey

Nandopis Octofasciatus
Temperature: 75º - 85º
Diet:  Dried Krill, Earthworms, Food Sticks, Soft Vegetables, Feeders, Lettuce & Spinach Leaves (occasionally)
Length: 8" - 12""
Compatibility:  Of the small to medium size cichlids, this one is the most pugnacious.  You can pick this up from the common name given to the fish.  It can be kept in a smaller cichlid community.
Comments: I have three different morphs of this species.  The standard shown above, a Gold, and two of the Blue Dempsey's that are relatively new to the hobby.
Total in my Collection:  2 Large standard adults (pair), 1 adult female Gold, three juvenile Blue Dempsey's.
