Jaguar Cichlid |
Cichlasoma Managuense
Temperature: 72º - 80º
Diet: Virtually any prepared food. Caution on feeding only pellet or food sticks as it will produce a lot of organic waste in the system. A varied diet along with frequent water changes will ensure fast growth.
Length: 12" - 14""
Compatibility: As with any large cichlid, it can be aggressive to it's own kind or smaller fish. However, overall it is a relatively timid fish as long as they remain subordinate. Juveniles are compatible with similar size fish. When spawning all bets are off.
Comments: Currently I have a spawning pair in the pond. I am particularly fond of the large male (Butch) who comes within inches of the top of the pond to be hand fed.
Total in my Collection: Four adult regular morph and Jumbo . And a breeding pair of gold morph.
